About the band
Yael S. Copeland is a singer - songwriter, guitar player and producer. She is also the Lead guitarist, singer and writer for her band Borito. Now she is releasing new music that is perfectly set in twilight -melancholic and sweet lo-fi Americana with stories about adulting in an unknown future.
Mellow Submarine is Copeland's debut solo album next to Projects such as; Borito and two 5-minute E. P’s she put out in the past year. Yael’s debut, Mellow submarine was created in collaboration with producer Shai Roth. Together they formed a unique sound in a cluttered room with a few keyboards, an acoustic guitar and an old computer.
Yael wrote these songs during the summer of 2021. The pandemic, unbearable heat of south Tel Aviv and the end of her twenties and more were all a part of the inspirations, anxieties, thoughts, memories and dreams which are the Mellow Submarine.
