About the band

Textures launched their 1st album “Polars” in 2004, got picked up by Listenable Records (FR) and soon after that, they won an award for best upcoming act, which gave them a boost: to play at The Netherlands' biggest festival: Lowlands. Soon after that, they played as support for Sepultura, Morbid Angel, Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah, all within a year’s time. The band kept growing, released their 2nd album “Drawing Circles” in 2006, and their 3rd album “Silhouettes” rocketed the band sky high. Soon they toured all over the world (USA, Russia, India, Nepal, Israel) and they signed to Nuclear Blast records, with whom they released 2 more albums. “Dualism” in 2011, and “Phenotype” in 2016.

The band split up in 2017, doing their final tour the last few months of that year. Playing their last show in the 013 venue in The Netherlands, and their very final show in India, December 2017. Their final live show, "Last Miles to the Moon," in Tilburg was released on DVD and Blu-Ray. It is available online for a limited time starting February 12 thru February 15, 2021.
