About the band
Surn is dedicated to delivering the finest Post-rock music to everyone. Based in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia, Surn formed in 2018, the band consists of Gibran (Synth), Erlian (Guitar), Faishal (Guitar), Hardien (Bass) and also Naufal (Drum).
Every member has a different background in music which creates a unique sound / ambience that hasn't been heard before. Surn’s music is strongly influenced by post rock, ambient, and depressive sounds, that can be heard by bands such as Mew, Mogwai, Moonlit Sailor, Explosions in the Sky, Saxon Shore, and God is an Astronaut. This also includes inspiration by post-metal bands like Caspian, Tides From Nebula, and Russian Circles.
Surn already released their debut mini-album entitled “Sam Sal-Ett” in March, 2020 which consists of 6 tracks that will bring you to another dimension.
