Antethic
About the band
Antethic formed in 2012 in Saint Petersburg, Russia initially as a studio project trio. In 2014 as a four-piece they put out their first longplay «Origin». Music from this period showed Antethic as an eclectic and experimental act combining live rock instrumentation with electronic sounds, multilayered guitar parts and droning soundscapes. Sophomore full-length «Ghost Shirt Society» released in 2017 as a trio became a landmark for Antethic. An original work with instantly recognizable sound, a solid and thoughtful album. For 2020's third full-length «Mythographer» the band switched to a completely electronic setup left only with synths, sequencers and drum loops. However, during the live shows Antethic expands their instrumentation with traditional rock setup. Their latest effort «Mythographer B-sides» was released on London's Church Road Records and contains covers from bands like Pijn, WOWOD, Pressor and two previously unreleased songs by Antethic.
