Chain of Flowers
Chain of Flowers’ dreary aesthetic is a combination of reserved but pulsing percussion, a straight-faced vocal delivery, doomy synth pads and sneering guitar licks. They’re a quintet whose recent lineup alteration (the loss of one member) forced them to craft leaner, more focused tracks. This fresh outlook empowered the band to write specialized, shoegazy post-punk that dials back the noise in favor of sturdy riffs and calculated melodies.
